I Am An Exit - Envelop Remixes
Feb 27, 15:40 by Stefan KoopmanschapThree remixes of an original that I have never heard and so I can not compare with. The usual suspects of the Seedyr, Chymera, Asciinoid and big techno star Corrugated Tunnel provide the remixes, basically giving a guarantee for some high quality music.
Chymera offers a very deep tech-house track with a nice atmosphere that reminds me for some reason of the scandinavian indie sound. Not sure why, but it works well. I love that deep bass!
The Asciinoid remix starts out as nice and dry techno music. The track builds and builds and transforms into a living entity, nice and atmospheric. This one will work great on the dancefloor! Nice playing with melodic elements, nice dry rhythm that has a good drive.
Corrugated Tunnel unfortunately disappoints a bit with his remix, which I feel misses that extra touch that really makes it get to me. Instead, the remix is there, and it’s OK, but that’s all there is. It doesn’t grab me, and really gets me going as Asciinoid was able to do that.
All in all, it’s a nice release with a two of of three score for me. Especially the Asciinoid remix is top-notch, really does it for me.
